I cannot believe what we put up with at school and University ( not that I did Uni !!) but so much depends on your teacher and I must say there are very few who are a true inspiration.
I had to delve within to work out my passion ( this was fashion, art and my own business ) now long gone and look where I have ended up !! But I’m still working and making the most of it despite it not being what I once had. I do love the contact with people though, you never know who you are going to meet or what you will learn from them, good and sometimes questionable!!
Where are you working? Did you go to Goodbyes and see them?

I absolutely agree with you - the few teachers I had who truly inspired me, where often time poor and underpaid which meant they couldn't give their all to their students day in, day out.
I think you have lived such a vibrant and fascinating life Jil and I just love hearing all of your stories and insights. I have learnt a lot from you and can't wait to learn more over some homemade pizza soon! I love that you are able to find a meaning and purpose in your day to day work, even though it isn't the same career you once had. Life is about adapting isn't it?

And me too - this year has gone so quickly despite being in lockdown for 75% of it ha!
